One of Century's most beautiful runabout designs, the 1948 Century Sea Maid is best known for its automobile styling cues and 2-tone blond and mahogany "torpedo" deck design. The steering wheel, dash, gauge cluster, and interior upholstery were all elements inspired by the Detroit automobile industry. Songbird was completely rebuilt by Snake Mountain Boat Works of Vermont in 2022 with a 5200 bottom with new frames, chines, bow stem and restoration and varnishing of the decks. That rebuild process was extensively documented in a series of videos available on YouTube. The stern was rebuilt and restored by Hall’s Boats of Lake George, NY in 2023. The boat includes a custom eagle trailer designed specifically for this boat. The chrome hardware, mahogany flag poles and canvas cover are all original and in excellent condition. A prior owner replaced the original engine, and it has a 1974 OMC 225hp V8 marine inboard engine that has well maintained including new seals to prevent oil leakage. The unique torpedo deck design on this boat attracts attention and Songbird won the Classic Runabout Class at the 2014 ACBS Adirondack Chapter Fulton Chain Boat show. Songbird has been used and enjoyed every year and is 100% turnkey condition. It needs nothing!! Beautiful Trailer goes with it!!
