This boat has been in the same family for 50 years and has been in the water each of those summers. It is mostly original, including still using a 6V electrical system. The Chris Craft K Engine has been rebuilt in ~ 2008 and runs great. It is number 74313. My grandfather bought the boat used in 1969 from the Tippecanoe boat company on Lake Tippecanoe in Indiana. He had it on nearby Lake Webster from 1969 until 1994. The Tippecanoe boat company maintained both the engine and the wood finish for the 25 years he had the boat in Indiana. He gave the boat to me in 1995 and I have had it on Lake LBJ in Texas for the past 25 years. Since that time Jim Frechette of Fleetwood Boats has put on the no soak bottom and done the wood finishing. For most of that time RT Marine in Granite Shoals, TX has worked on the engine, including a rebuild in ~2008. The boat has been in the water every summer for 50 years and stored indoors in the winter. Engine was still running great when I took the boat out of the water in early November. This past summer it was in the sun too much. The stern and both sides need to be sanded and revarnished. The bottom needs to be repainted. The cover is old and torn and should be replaced. Overall the boat is in good condition, but needs some TLC.
