In the fall of 1939 this 17-foot Chris-Craft Deluxe Utility was delivered to Krenzer Marine in Sodas Bay, NY. It was used the seasons of 1940 and part way into 1941. It was put into storage due to the gasoline shortage during World War II. In August 2018 the boat showed up at the Antique Boat Museum Show on its original cradle on which it was delivered to Krenzer's in 1939. At the time of the show there was no category into which the boat would come under. As it was the first model of its kind built in January of 1939. A new category was made to fit with the title being "NEW ORIGINAL BOAT" and the Deluxe Utility was awarded the title at the Awards Ceremony on August 5, 2018. WoodyBoater.com writer, Matt Smith, featured this boat in his blog on August 6, 2018. He took pictures with comments about this boat and the originality in the article.
