1949 Chris Craft Custom, Hull # R-20-334. The last year of the production of this model with a total of 42 built in 1949. Purchased by her current owner in 2010 and restoration work began in 2011 under the care of Great Northern Boatworks in Saint Paul, MN. The bottom was in good shape, but sanded, fasteners tightened, seams recaulked, and bottom painted. New chine plank starboard side. Her topside finish was stripped and redone with 12 coats of varnish. Bilge was fully cleaned and repainted. The correct Iva Lite spotlight was reinstalled and all chrome was buffed and reinstalled. In the Fall of 2011, new upholstery was installed by Nordby Upholstery, Nisswa, MN. The trailer was rebuilt and redone in the Spring of 2012. The engine was previously replaced in 2006 with a small block 350 V8. Fuel tank and lines were also replaced at this time. In the Spring of 2021, the carburetor was rebuilt, new water pump impeller installed, new spark plugs, new throttle cable, and other misc. general maintenance completed. This is a nice 20 Custom that is ready to enjoy!
