One of Chris Craft's striking, post-war production models, but Capri featured a modern 2-tone blond and red mahogany color scheme and the popular bull-nose bow design. Only 170 Capris were built in the 21 foot length, and only 50 were built with the Chrysler Marine Hemi V8 engine. This example was purchased in the late 1970's by her current owners and used for a short time before being put into storage. In 2020, the boat received significant work, including full paint and varnish all around, a clean and degrease of the bilge to prep for fresh paint, all hardware removed and buffed for reinstallation. The original Hemi engine was sent out and had the carburetors rebuilt, fuel pump rebuilt, all gaskets replaced, water pump, ignition, all cleaned and detailed for reinstallation. The correct interior color would be "special flame red". The fuel tank was also removed, cleaned, painted, and a new sending unit installed. This project is sitting at 85% completion and needs a new interior installed (seat frames and all hardware present), engine reinstalled (currently resting in boat), and plumbing/wiring reconnection. This is a rare and very manageable project that can be on the water this season!
