Chris-Craft built a total of 1,038 22-foot runabouts between the years of 1927 and 1931. The 1927 model is known as the "Cadet" and this example bears hull #1033, making her the 33rd Cadet built in 1927. She was one of the only Cadet models built with a Scripps engine originally making her uniquely-optioned. The "Virginia Belle" has been repowered with a 95hp Chris-Craft Model-K and was part of the Chris-Craft Maritime Museum's collection on display for several years. She is a well-preserved example in excellent condition. Her traditional bottom is caulked and swells up nicely with about 3-4 inches of water for 4 days along the keel before launching. Once swelled up she's solid and ready to go. Our family loved Virginia Belle for 3 years - so many great cocktail cruises aboard this sweet boat. We have upgraded to a larger 24-foot Hutchinson for bigger water. A tandem-axle bunk trailer is also included in the sale.
