Built by W.J. "Billy" Johnston in 1938, this 22 footer features a triple cockpit design. Johnston is best-known for inventing the Disappearing Propeller Boat (Dispro) and went on to build a handful of boats in his own shop each year. Mahogany planking over white oak frames. This is an older restoration that has seen regular use until recent years. The bottom was painted 2 years ago and varnish was freshened up 5 years ago. Always maintained as-need. Transom frames, stem, many bottom planks, and transom previously replaced. The original Kermath engine runs well and has good compression. The boat has lived in a boathouse for the last 25+ years, so no trailer is included.
