This 22’ classic lapstrake mahogany Hutchinson was built in Alexandria Bay, NY and has been on the St. Lawrence River ever since. Duane Chalk completed a total restoration in 1980. She won 16 awards in local boat shows from 1980 through 2011, including the cherished Antique and Classic Boat Society Thousand Island Chapter Renaissance Cup in 1997. Tony Mollica Jr. wrote an informative article about her that was published in the TI Sun in 2012. A copy is available if you would like to see it. She is in great shape. The hull, transom, and decks were revarnished by Rodgers Marina in 2010, and still look great. St. Lawrence Restoration surveyed the bottom in September 2018 and confirmed it was structurally sound. She was converted to a 12V electrical system to ensure she starts easily and quickly. The 115 HP Chrysler Crown M-7 engine runs smoothly and reliably. A unique wooden folding windshield with side wings accommodates a canvas top over the front seats. Always kept in a boathouse since restoration. Has been in use every year for at least the last 40 years. No trailer.
