The Miss Alison was built true to it's heritage, a 1923 Hacker Gold Cup Racer. It is cold molded, diagonal planked hull, West System epoxy with frames, battens and floor timbers. There are Mahogany varnished decks and Teak cockpit and side decks. A bow thruster was installed after a few trial runs. The transmission is Borg Warner and the steering column is attached to a conventional steering box with a cable connection to the rudder arm. A custom canvas cover was made for the boat. The boat has won awards at almost every classic and wooden boat show it has attended.
