BOAT SUMMARY |
|
This is a very nicely restored Chestnut canoe. Chestnuts of this era were built in Fredericton, New Brunswick and are a fine example of Canadian craftsmanship. They were built under the holding company of Canadian Watercraft Limited. She has new canvas, new gunnels and decks. The interior was stripped and refinished. Ribs, thwarts, etc are all solid and in nice condition. Seats were recaned and are excellent. This canoe would make a great display piece and would be a pleasure to paddle. This is Canada's most famous design in wood and canvas traditional canoes. | |
