1909 Peterborough Canoe – 16’ “All Wood” Canoe Named in memory of the original owner. Rib and Batten Construction, Cedar - Planks, Rock Elm - Ribs and Battens, Oak - Keel Green Painted Exterior, Gray Interior (original factory colours). Bought new in 1909 by Huntsville, Ontario resident named Reginald for $78.00. Markings (found under side of left floor board “Bow 3239”, “Rebuilt at Peterborough Summer 1927”) (on front coaming 43A70). Stored inside a Barn in Huntsville in 1935, after Reginald sustained an injury which left him blind in both eyes. Purchased from Reginald’s Nephew in 2001 and fully restored by Master Craftsman and boat builder “Ron Armstrong” in 2001 and 2002. Relaunched and displayed at the 2002 Gravenhurst Classic Boat Show.
