This very rare 19 Foot Sportsman built in 1938 is one of the few made with the rear seat facing aft. It was purchased over 20 years ago by the owner with the intent of doing a full top down restoration. Life got in the way and the owner has finally confirmed that he is unlikely to complete the project. The boat has had extensive work done to it and the last piece to be completed is the work on the bottom. Once completed the boat can be turned back over and all of the hardware can be installed and the interior can be put back into the boat. Only 70 of these special boats were built during 1938-39 and they were indeed unique and eye catching. Interesting to note that they came with twin gas tanks. The hard work has been done on this boat and it has been carefully stored indoors such that the next owner will reap the rewards of the last steps.
