Own a piece of Canadian history! Rarely seen Peterborough Canoe Company 12 foot cedar strip boat built sometime between the years 1939 to 1950. Confirmed with the Peterborough Canoe Museum that this is a custom made boat with then original canvas interior. Due to the Bankruptcy by the company the records on the act date of manufacture are challenging but the range of construction is correct. Boat was seldom used and kept in closed storage for the past 40 years. This boat is in excellent condition and a fine example of a well known Canadian builder. Included are the set of original oars in great shape. All floor boards, ribs, planking are in excellent state with no wood rot (wet or dry). All original serial numbers are visible: 1487 ser. 1735.
