Own a real piece of St Lawrence River history! Bob Gove was the last head carpenter for Hutchinson Boat Works in Alexandria Bay, NY. He was involved in almost all of the post war boats that Hutchinson built including the "Pardon Me", right up to the last 22' utility that was built in 1963. He then ran the repair shop until his retirement. He also built several of his own boats in Chippewa Bay, NY. This is the boat that he built for himself. It is built like a traditional side steer, except Bob added a wheel. It has many features that are uniquely his. The hull is very sound and does not leak. The engine has seized and does not currently run.
