This is one of 28 surviving split cockpits from 1934-1936, and the only survivor from 1935. This isn't a rare opportunity, it's your ONLY opportunity to own a 1935 16' Runabout. There is no record of it ever having been restored, and excluding the upholstery, we believe it to be 1935 original. Could use a refinishing, but current finish is could enough to display or use in the water. It's been covered in heated storage for years, and hasn't seen the water since 2003. Owner of this boat feels it's a shame to keep this boat locked up, and hopes someone with more time can cherish this exquisite piece of history as much as he did. This Gar Wood Runabout is truly an extraordinary find. Boat is located at Chelsea Boat Works, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Viewing is available.
