This boat was made by a molded fiberglass company in Ashtabula, Ohio. MFG made this model from 1955-1959. The boat has a fiberglass hull with mahogany trim, deck windshield, and transom. MFG presented the fiberglass hull copy of the 15 foot Lyman to the Lyman Boat Company as a "New Lyman" to which they replied "we make wood boats". MFG marketed the boast themselves, switched to all fiberglass in about 1961. MFG also made the chassis for Corvette in the 1950's.The serial tag dates the boat at 1958. Beautifully restored in 2002.
