Eventually going on to build his own boats, Lyon purchased land in New York City and built 6 different models of runabouts including the 30 Foot Sea Lyon with a 200 HP Sterling Petrel engine which would sell for $ 5950.00. Known for their level riding and excellent visibility, 5 section windshield, the long deck boats were made to be at the high end of the market.
