1956 18’ Hacker-Craft utility, Hull number 1812 powered by the original Chrysler Crown six-cylinder engine. This unique boat was constructed with marine plywood sides rather than planking for teaching new boat owners how to drive and dock an inboard boat. The top decking, dashboard, and transom are mahogany. The ribs and lower chines have been rebuilt with air-dried white oak and the bottom has been refastened and caulked with 3M 5200. Also includes bow light, cleats, rubrails, four step plates, gauge cluster, steering wheel with throttle, drive shaft, bronze propeller, rudder, gas tank, copper exhaust, and mooring cover. This is a great project boat; unfortunately, I’ve discovered that I don’t have the time or space to bring this to fruition.
