Own with pride a piece of History. This 1947 Gar Wood Ensign Deluxe was the last one built in 1947 before the company closed it's doors. A Classic beautifully maintained boat with the original Chrysler Crown engine, 115 HP, original chrome fittings, upholstery holding true to the original design, and original production certificates to verify authenticity. I have owned the boat since 2013 and it has ben used primarily on a fresh water lake in California. This boat was originally shipped from New York and had been owned by well known boat collector Wayne Mocksfield for over 20 years where it had lived on Lake Hopatcong. For medical reasons my boating career must end. The engine on this boat was rebuilt in the 1990's but with low hours the compression tests are superb and she runs smooth and strong. Top speed is 37 MPH. The bottom was replaced with a 5200 bottom circa 1990's and repainted last year. The fuel pump was rebuilt ion 2017 and included in the sale are all of the original operating manuals and engine maintenance and repair manuals. The trailer builder is unknown but it has been refurbished and serves the boat reliably.
