1964 SEARS kit boat “LITTLE KIT” is great fun and gets lots of attention. Won BEST LAND DISPLAY at 2025 Lake George ACBS show. Was winterized and went into dry storage in 1988, was never moved until 2024. Purchased and “preserved” by current owner in 2024 – 2025. 11'-3” long with 4'-8” beam. Has all original wood, windshield, steering wheel, lights, deck hardware, engine, transom saver, dash bezel and trailer. To make the boat safer to operate, the current owner installed period correct shifter and cables and modern steering. Engine is original 25hp Sears Elgin 2-stroke with electric start. Engine was cleaned and painted, carburetor was rebuilt, modern fuel pump installed, new seals installed. Very good compression in both cylinders. Runs strong. Easily gets up on plane with two adults. Wood was sanded/reconditioned as necessary, and refinished with marine paint. Trailer was cleaned to bare metal and repainted. Original tires held air but were replaced. Original wiring was good and the lights worked, but were replaced with modern wiring and LED lighting. Current owner added flooring, seat cushions, and deck covers behind aft seat. Comes with fuel tank, battery in Sears battery box, fenders, SEARS flag, custom made mooring cover, and original tie-down strap. Also comes with boarding ladder, wood steering hub, fire hose fenders, all crafted by original owner. Boat and trailer are currently registered.
