3130025'6 Feet 1926 Hutchinson Sedan $39,500
River Runner, the only 26' Sedan ever produced by Hutchinson's, was built in 1926 for Gov. Lowden of Pullman Island. Lowden made at least two attempts to become president of the US. River Runner has painted cedar sides, beautiful mahogony desks and covering boards, and battleship linoleum floors. She has been in constant use in the 1000 Islands for over 85 years, and still has 93-95% of her original wood. Her hand cranked windows allow cooling breezes through the cabin, where occupants lounge on beautifully upholstered seats and wicker deck chairs. She can be seen throughout the seasons cutting through the channels of the River, from Clayton to Brockville. RiverRunner has won over 14 awards at Clayton and Alex Bay shows, and has been professionally restored and lovingly maintained. Fresh varnish, hull and bottom paint. Articles on RiverRunner have been published in Classic Boating, TI Life, and TI Sun's vacationer Thousand Islands Classic series.
2924626 Feet 1906 Charles H Wilbur Launch$39,000
Built by Charles H Wilbur he was part of the shop known as Wilbur and Wheelock of Clayton, NY. There is no nameplate other than the engine plate which is on a 1916 Ford Model "T". The serial no on the engine is 21 which may refer to the year converted by the St Lawrence marine Co. The engine was rebuilt by a restorer in Iowa who has rebuilt hundreds of model A's, B's and T's. The hull has been faired using cedar strips and epoxies with West System. The area along the keel however has not and it takes several days to soak up. The launch has been adapted to 8V power for the bilge and period lighting. The fuel tank has been cleaned and lined. The seating was non-existent when I purchased the boat, so the layout was adapted from observing other launches and built to fit the hull.
