"Johnny Reb." It's a 1956 Higgins sportster, with a 292 Thunderbird Interceptor motor. We are the second family to own this boat. It was acquired by my father in 1973 from family friends. It was the boat that he learned to ski on as a kid and couldn't pass up the opportunity to own. My father did a full motor rebuild in 1981 and cared for all maintenance until 2015. He's getting up there in age and the boat has been in my possession ever since. I already have my own boat that I use for everything, and so the Reb has just been sitting in my garage for the last six years. I feel that it's time to let her go to a good family that would love to have a classic boat.
