The modern era for Century began in 1965 as the pendulum swung from mahogany speedboats to the introduction of fiberglass. The 1965 model year was the last for Century's catalogue of all-wood models, and the new Fibersport in 1966 marked the company's transition to fiberglass. Following this successful introduction, Century chose to produce 3 of its traditional wooden models in Fiberglass for 1967, on a limited production bases. The 19' Arabian was produced in Fiberglass, sharing an identical profile and configuration, between 1967-1969. While extremely popular and sought after, Century only produced 84 mahogany Arabians between 1966-1968, and it is believed that fiberglass Arabian production was less than half of this number between 1967-1969. This 1969 Century Arabian has been very nicely restored with correct A&A platinum deck vinyl, professionally installed A&A factory-replacement interior/sun pad, repaired stringers, factory correct hull paint, and fitted with a custom trailer. This early fiberglass model represents a transition period for Century when new models closely resembled their mahogany predecessors in both function and appearance. They were a calculated blend between modern materials and traditional design aesthetic. The boat is powered by a 440cid 330hp Chrysler Big Block "Wedge" engine, which was the largest available option in 1969. Silver Award Winner at the 2019 September ACBS International Boat Show.
