In 1936, Gar Wood introduced a Cabin Utility to the America market. It was an instant success and quickly outperformed the 20 Foot Open Utility model. This example was carefully converted from a Sedan to Open Utility for ease of use and overall comfort. The top has been carefully preserved should her next owner wish to return her to a Sedan configuration. No expense has been spared in the restoration and the boat is in fantastic condition. She was restored during the winter of 2017-2018 and has been lightly used. This boat was first delivered to Fitzgerald & Lee in Alexandria Bay, New York, who at the time were Gar Wood's largest dealer in the United States. The boat has the correct burgundy leather upholstery which is in excellent condition. This boat over the years has won many awards and was pictured in Tony Mollica's book on Gar Wood boats. Varnish and paint work are fresh and absolutely gorgeous. Sold complete with a single axle bunk trailer.
