Purchased in February 2018 on Bringatrailer.com as a 1961 fully functional boat in fresh water in Maine. Turned out to be a 1962 that had been improperly listed and improperly re upholstered. Brought it to Barry Ford in Trumansburg NY. He had restored our 1932 ChrisCraft previously. He stripped everything off and out of the hull, flipped it over and began the 3 year restoration. Replaced the ribs, the chine, the engine bunks, the transom and a no soak bottom went on. Replaced the engine with a sealed system PowerMarine 5.7 EFI and transmission. Reupholstered the entire boat from scratch based upon original photos and patterns drawn in the boat. (Not a kit) so between this, thw USB ports, the new engine, 3 inch exhausts and slight modification in the paint design it is a restomod. All chrome was replated as well. Between price of purchase and restoration I have spent more than 120k on the project. Really love it but love our Chris Craft more.
